In the third and final installment of the SWR series "Was wo wie wächst" everything revolves around another ubiquitous food staple, namely sugar. In addition to showing its agricultural production, director Tilman Büttner's film for SWR takes us through the various stages and processes necessary to transform a sugar beet into the pure crystal sugar we all know.

The film score accompanies the sugar in its production path and changes in style at each of the various stops along the way. Sometimes it's glittery and dreamy, sometimes it's electronic and beat-oriented. Sometimes it's driving with distorted guitars.
