In front of southern French city Nice, swifts and seagulls share a large rock on the seashore, where they live in together. A peaceful coexistence in the picturesque setting of the Côte d'Azur would be too nice, but there are different attitudes of both birds.

The Affordable Art Fair takes place in 14 cities worldwide, and this year it will open its doors in Hamburg for the very first time. This art fair offers high-quality, contemporary art made by young and emerging artists, with all of it priced under €5.000. It's a concept that appeals to a broad audience and really gets people talking.

Most people have it and those who don’t, want it… work.

For many of us work is meaningful and fulfilling, on the other hand for others it is an un-loved and necessary evil. It claims the main part of a human’s lifetime. But at its heart work is constantly evolving and many of the concepts of working, which seem to be nor-mal and self-evident to us since the age of industrialization, are in fact comparatively young and might even lose their universality in the future. So how will we work in the future? Director Natasa von Kopp follows up on those and associated questions about the future of work for German TV station SWR.

Normally letters form a word, words form a sentence and sentences e.g. a book. In the current commercial of the Hamburg fair “Photo+Artbook Hamburg” it’s exactly the other way round - every letter is formed by books, which then form the word "Book". Just like everything in the fair centers on books: foto- and artist’s books, magazines, zines and exclusive editions.

As their career goes along well-known contemporaries get a distinctive image – whether they like it or not – which lingers in the memory of the public. So actors get often reduced to their most famous role or other celebrities get identified with that part of their live, they have to present to the public. But what about the “normal live” of these people, how do they live, how do they spend their free time, which person is behind that image, he or she gets identified with?

There are a lot of possibilities to give hints. And there are a lot of possibilities to read those signs. Some are e.g. rather subtle and others a broad hint. Directly after standing up the family man in the Opel-Spot “Signs” has to handle some hints of that second category and director Marc Hartmann accompanies our protagonist, when he swinging starts his day, keeping some messages for him.

What should an old couple get worked up, when they stroll around in consensually silentness, like they always did in the last years? It seems a long time, since real enthusiasm impels to play one’s hunch. Director Marc Hartmann illustrates in his commercial “Couple” for automotive manufacturer Opel, that things can be different and that it does not depend on the age, whether a spark overleaps.

If you think of love and only that beautiful and romantic love comes into your mind, you can be sure, that a substantially part is missing. That’s the reason why director Dirk Lehner introduces in his movie „3 – Die Liebe ist der Dieb“ both sides of love by his protagonists: „She-Love“, the pure, sublime, nearly divine part of love and “He-Love”, the doubting, unromantic part, who although does his work with best intentions regarding the lovers.
