Director Dirk Neumann again sends for his documentary from the SWR series "Spuren im Stein" Sven Plöger and Lena Ganschow, the seasoned presenter team of the first season, on expedition.
The film score this time goes into more mysterious realms, e.g. when it comes to exploring the formation of the Ries crater or to discuss the witch hunt. But a large part of the music in the film also has a positive, partly energetic and partly relaxed side. This resulted in a largely modern score, which often works with synthetically alienated sound sources from the orchestral and vocal context, but also does not miss rocking guitars and classical orchestral cues.
The numerous high-speed recordings, realistic computer animations, and many more, are supported by detailed sound design in order to accentuate these, normally inaccessible worlds, acoustically.
The documentary "Spuren im Stein - Das Nördlinger Ries" will be broadcasted on 08.04., at 8:15 pm on SWR television and will then be available in the SWR media library.
