In Dirk Neumann's documentary "Die Geschichte der Schwäbischen Alb", presenters Sven Plöger and Lena Ganschow go on an expedition and introduce the fascinating features of the Swabian Alb. Not only do they go on a journey into the past, they also deal with current topics.
The film score accompanies this journey and has in many parts orchestral character, but often works with electric or acoustic guitars. The music is usually relatively small, even in larger occupations, in order to do justice to the sometimes barren and raw beauty of the Swabian Alb and to avoid over-subscription.
For contemporary themes, the music is usually characterized by more modern sounds. So groovy, eletronic tracks can be heard, if e.g. machines of the textile industry or lens sorting machines do their work, but also relaxed or distorted guitar sounds are in the music of the movie.
In addition, a detailed sound design not only brings to life the elaborate animations or slow motion sequences of the film, but also supports many other scenes almost imperceptibly.
"Die Geschichte der Schwäbischen Alb" is the first of a total of 12 episodes from the series "Spuren im Stein".
